TalTech hosts the Centre for Digital Forensics and Cyber Security which works towards enhancing the competence and ability of Estonian computer security field through education, research and development. It comprises of 12 professors, senior researchers and researchers and 11 PhD students.
The centre covers research areas in network security, digital forensics, cyber operations, cryptography, cybersecurity education & human aspects, legal aspects of cyber security and maritime cybersecurity. It works closely with the maritime cyber security group established at the TalTech Maritime Academy.
The team is involved in over 15 projects, such as MariCybERA – ERAChair in Maritime Cyber Security or CYDIPLO – European Cyber Democracy.
It offers a BSc in Cyber Security Engineering, an MSc in Cybersecurity and Doctoral programmes.
